4 months ago it still works with octoprint 1.9.3, though it did not work right out of the box, but after a few restarts, manual installation of required libraries, plus some additional restarts it started working. no ideea what made it work.

Are you using a particular plug-in for the LCD1602, or is the functionality built in to Octoprint?
I have a few of these boards, but haven't dabbled with them recently.

4 months ago this is the plugin, it can be installed via the plugin manager in octoprint, or manually as described in the README.md of this repo. this is a plugin for i2c 1602 LCDs ( and i2c 2004)

Was told this isn’t compatible with the latest octoprints. Has this now been fixed? As I tried this but for some reason using the init.py it’s not displaying. However it does display when shutting down and says “bye bye”
