No rush, TinyMCE will still be there until v11 at least.

I added Markdown mode because TinyMCE is a pain, and I want to be able to just hammer out notes in good old markdown.

Arguably the new text editor is good enough that it can be used the way I like.

Following up eight seconds later - it turnd out that FVTT v10's new journal system actually supports Markdown directly! However it does it by having an alternative "sheet" for the journal page, which is a tad clunky. So maybe I'll just go ahead and keep my stuff so I can maintain featuire parity with FVTT.
