question wrt license / rapid / forum #442

sorry, don't know how to contact you ideally:

  1. is there any plan to switch models of units which are from TA to the models from BAR after its released? or are there any models used at all where the license isn't "ok"?
  2. why is there no forum on springrts.com? because of 1?
  3. rapid has direct git support now, do you want to use it? http://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=71&t=32242

would be great if TA could be released with a clean/open-source license, this would allow promotion, etc. the general goal in spring community imo is to get rid of models which were initially converted from TA.

Hm, nix never mentioned anything about switching models, and I imagine it would be quite hard, as we use many TA:Escalation models, and they would look out of place next to BAR models.

I'm trying to give a speedy response, but lets wait for nix to be online and see what he himself says.

Hey abma

  1. Yeah I would like to do something with bar models but only if the bar licence changes to allow that
  2. Main reason was due to where mod came from as in senna's work, I didn't want all the flak but I think now enough time has passed so if you have the correct rights on forum could you open one for me please
  3. Yeah rapid git access would be great
