Display list of connected users to reflector #3

I do not know if the network information about connected users is transferred to the reflector, but it would be nice if the main screen on which the messages are displayed was, for example, divided in the proportions of 70/30 percent and in the latter part 30% would be a list of currently connected nodes to the reflector to which it is connected

Maybe MVoice would download a list of connected users to the spotlight and display them

List of connected users to reflector it maybe looks like users on IRC client example image

but it maybe it is not an easy task to realize this option

What extra benefit would a feature like this bring compared to, say running a browser on the M17 Reflectors webpage?

Adding this to mrefd would significantly increase bandwidth for it, especially when M17 becomes more popular and besides, implementing something like this is more complicated now because the latest version of mrefd supports reflector-to-reflector linking.

A central user network like IRC works and it is in fact the basis of DStar routing networks like Quadnet. However due to the popularity of PiStar, the #dstar channel on openquad.net has over 5000 clients at any one time. A DMR connected network like Brandmeister is even bigger due to the popularity of cheap HTs and hot-spots.

The M17 team is evaluating what sort of client-connection sharing network to use. Until some preliminary directions are taken, it doesn't make a lot of sense to put much time in this sort of development for mvoice. Until that time, the M17 Reflectors webpage works pretty well.

Tom, The advantage is that I do not have to see and monitor the dashboard to see if anyone is connected in to the reflector since I have the MVoice program open, I see it in one place and I have to see if someone is at all on the reflector. But it was just an idea and if it doesn't make sense then we close this issue.
