To reproduce:
Set up breadboard with something simple, like a LED+resistor, across P2 / GND.
Open app, enable P2 output.
Drag the frequency slider back and forth using any method (mouse drag, scroll wheel, arrow keys).
App will usually stop responding within 2 minutes, sometimes as quickly as 20 seconds.
