mtext as deafult bad idea? #94

As default characters typed are set in a mtext element. This is rarely the 
expected for formulas. I would expect a alphabetical symbol to be in an mi 
element and a number in an mn element. If it's hard to automatically choose the 
expected element I would prefer mi before mtext.

Using v2.5 as a Sakai plugin
