ADRC Implementation of REDCap Forms #9

Open SuzanneHunt-KC opened 2 years ago

SuzanneHunt-KC commented 2 years ago

ADRC's can provide comments about they will implement REDCap forms developed by NACC. For example, will your center rearrange the forms to suit the visit flow or will you create different projects to accommodate the visit flow? This information can help NACC designing the REDCap data dictionaries and data submission systems.

@Ben - please edit this to match your vision for this Issue

UCI will most likely will continue to import the REDCap forms to different projects for our workflow. It's a little difficult to tell until most of the UDS 4.0 forms are finalized & developed. Will UDS 4.0 variables for Initial and Follow-up forms be named differently or we're using repeat instances, etc...?

IU will likely modify the provided data dictionaries to collect data on additional Center-specific instruments. It is possible that we would decide to keep these in a separate project, but have NACC/non-NACC forms in 1 project currently and it works well. As noted above decisions on the longitudinal structure of NACC resources may affect how our Center implements and/or changes them

We have not implemented REDCap for NACC forms yet and are still deciding on what the NACC vs Center-specific workflows will look like when all our EDC is on REDCap. UDS 4.0 will definitely affect our decisions.

@dkh-uci My understanding is that repeating events will be used, so there is no need to use a prefix on variable names for different types of visits. The visit would have to begin by specifying if the visit is an Initial Visit or Follow-Up, then specify whether visit is occurring in-person or virtual/telephone.
