Why the location is unknown in both sms and email?

The notification SMS and email which is being sent is "I am not OK. My location 
is Unknown"

Is your location available to other applications? What version of Android do 
you run?

yes my location is available with other apps and also with the apk present in 
the downloads section of this project.

Which revision of the code did you test?

Can you find in which revision it broke? I would try these revisions: 157, 167, 
168 and 202.
