Overclocked Cards giving an error #268

Hi, I tried to overclock my Gtx 1050 ti and it is working stable on games and mining crypto, but for waifu2x, it crashes the program.

This to me implies that your GPU overclock is not actually 100% stable.

Just like when overclocking CPUs, different software requires different amounts of stability - a good example of this is OCCT's CPU mode (not linpack mode) set to "large data set" which can find errors and instability after several hours even when literally every single other piece of software will run without any issue at all.

If anything, this may actually be a good feature in that, kind of like how prime95 by chance turned out to be a pretty good CPU stability test, maybe waifu2x is by chance a good GPU stability test? If this really is the case, then them maybe like prime95 a dedicated "torture tests" mode for stability testing could be implemented.

...though of course, unless waifu2x starts to officially support vendor-neutral GPU-compute APIs like SPIR-V and/or OpenCL, it's use as a GPU stability test will be limited (even more-so considering that we will soon be getting a third player in the discrete GPU market in the form of Intel).

I've learned the hard way. Even if your OC works perfectly with X games and Y benchmarks, Z program may just tip it over the edge. Like NintendoManiac64 said, your overclock is not 100% stable.
