An error occurred GStreamer encountered a general supporting library error.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. An Ubuntu newby tries to install flash player and finds out he needs 
swfobject

2. After installing Adobe Flash Player version 11.2.202.236, I discovered that 
I needed and didn't have Java so I clicked the link for Java and it brought me 
to this website.  Being clueless I assumed that I needed to install swfo...

3. attempted to install swfobject by clicking "expressInstall.swf" and got the 
Error message shown in the Summary above

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I was hoping flash player would work 

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
- swfobject_2_2
- Adobe Flash Player version 11.2.202.236 
on Ubuntu 12.04.

Please provide any additional information below.
I haven't gotten to the Java part of the problem.

Immediately stumbled on a link on the "Linked-in" website that also wanted me 
to install Flash player, so I tried it again. It works... so was there not 
really a problem with swfobject?
