This is an intended feature. We designed it with people who have numbers in mind. One such example would be Elon Musk's son, named "X Æ A-12".

Reason for disagreement: The example you gave will not work with your application as Æ will be recognised as an illegal character itself so I guess your example is quite redundant. In general, numbers are not supposed to be included in the names of a person hence this is relevant. Maybe you can just include another check that checks for numbers just like how your application checks for special characters.

As you can see in the image. There needs to be a check for the name aspect as well. I am able to add numbers into a name. This shouldnt be possible.
