Tunnelblick uses officially released versions of OpenVPN.
The latest release of OpenVPN is 2.1.1, so that's what we include in
Tunnelblick.

It's pity, since most Linux destribution( afaik Debian and gentoo) included this
patch in their binary/
portage.

It's a security issue. The Tunnelblick team doesn't have the depth to examine
such patches thoroughly enough to
"vet" them. Debian and Gentoo presumably do.
Tunnelblick sometimes includes OpenVPN release *candidates*, if that is
recommended by the OpenVPN team,
so IPV6 may appear in Tunnelblick before the next official release of OpenVPN
that includes it.

I've heard that this patch was merged in the testing branch of openvpn, but I
cannot
find it now.
Anyway, thank you for your explanation :-)
