First of all, if you have any Haxies, InputManagers, SIMBL plugins or
similar operating system hacks installed, please remove them first, restart
the program, and make sure the bug is reproducible without them.
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open Gimp.
2. Create a new RGB file with white background.
3. Write some text in black.
4. Flatten the image.
5. In Color menu, choose Color to Alpha. Set the source color to white.
6. Save the file with gif format.
7. In the dialog that opens, choose Convert to Greyscale.
Click Export and in the next dialog click Save.
... At this stage if you open the image in Xee, it will be OK.
8. Now, in Gimp, in the Image menu, change the mode to Greyscale.
9. Save again.
... The image no longer displays in Xee.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The image appears entirely black.
Open the attached file "demo.gif" in Preview.app and in XEE to see the
difference.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
XEE 2.1
OSX 10.6.2
