'Same as in Finder' option for default sort order not working correctly #211

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Select "Same as in Finder" for default sort mode in Xee.
2. Open an image file inside a folder which contents is sorted by date
created (for example).
3. Navigate back or forth (Cmd+arrows, ';' and ':' keys).

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Xee will browse images by filename, ignoring sort order in Finder.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
2.1.1, Snow Leopard 10.6.6

Please provide any additional information below.

Yes, I think something changed in Snpw Leopard which broke this.

The lsvo section in DS_Store is no longer used by Snow Leopard. Instead it
has been replaced with the lsvp section. The lsvp section is a PLIST that
contains the window configuration. Attached is a patch that works for me.
Currently it is only invoked when a lsvo section doesn't exist. This is
probably the wrong order as if upgrading to SL both sections may exist and lsvp
the most up to date which won't be looked at if the old lsvo section exists.

I'd really like to see this in an official Xee release. Anyway, big thanks!

Applied and fixed. Tries lsvp first now, it does indeed do the wrong thing if
you do it the other way around.

Problem exists in Mountain Lion using Xee 2.2. (Don't know about Lion). So I
guess it needs to get re-fixed!

No development is happening on 2.x any longer. And 3.0 does not have this
option, as the sandbox makes it impossible. So it will not get fixed, unless
somebody else does it.
