TGA files have a checkerboard pattern superimposed on dark colors #221

First of all, if you have any Haxies, InputManagers, SIMBL plugins or
similar operating system hacks installed, please remove them first, restart
the program, and make sure the bug is reproducible without them.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create a TGA using World of Warcraft (screenshot)
2. Open TGA in Xee
3. Weird checkerboard background effect on darker colors appear

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to see a clear image, not with a semi-translucent checkerboard. 

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
2.1.1, on OSX 10.6.2

Please provide any additional information below.
I'm attaching an example TGA file.

This is correct and expected behaviour. WoW is saving files with an incorrect 
alpha 
channel.

Opening the image in other apps shows similar behaviour.
