Potential name change #4

Open nahkd123 opened 3 years ago

nahkd123 commented 3 years ago

This repository is currently named as "osu-replay-viewer", which might cause some issues with trademark infringement (although this one is clearly designed for viewing osu! replays and potentially record them as video files at ridiculously high FPS, so it shouldn't be a problem, right?)

Even if I'm allowed, I still want to change the project name anyways, because "osu-replay-viewer" is just too long. And if it's only designed to view replay (according to the current project name), why would I even bother creating this while there's also built-in replay in official client?

This project will soon have much more features, such as analytics view, rulesets switching and some small stuffs that's not worth mentioning to get it added to official client.

At the moment of writing this, I couldn't think of another name, but if anyone have suggestion, please reply to this issue.

P/s: I knew this repository won't get much attentions anyways, so I'm expecting that no ones will disscuss about this

I think Relay will be good name for this project.

How do I use this?

You need to have .NET Core installed. Use dotnet run will give you all arguments that you can use with replay viewer.

This project is unmaintained atm so it might not work with newer version of lazer.
