What do you think about optionally locking files with check in/check out 
functions?

I worry about the possibility of many, many, many versions of files floating 
around amongst users.

You can now lock file when you download it and I don't plan to implement this. 
It will not lead to less revisions ... experience from Sharepoint and Source 
Safe ;-)
