Number dial input hang up application for while #257

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Enter number to dial (1798 for example...)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
There is a significant hang up of application with color ball. If you enter
a test instead - name - there is no problem. So dialing number is very slow.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Version 0.14.3 (23) Mac OS X 10.6.2 (same behaviour on 10.5)

How many contacts do you have in Address Book?
