Hi @davideCremona, It is a proper point. It is better to split. I was mixed because there are few datasets.
I think that the error is because the scripts to create trainval.txt and tfrecords assumes that there is only one bounding box in each image.
I have multiple objects in my images and the trainval.txt file contains multiple lines for a single image, causing the scripts to account for that image multiple times and thus creating tfrecords that contains overlapping sets of images and also repeats some samples.
Hi, I'm experimenting with my own dataset and your code. I have 800 images with labels in PascalVOC format.
The training process finish without problems and so the evaluation step. But when I have explored the data (val.record and train.record) I've found that they can contain the same images (train and val intersects).
It's because the val.record is not the test set and should not be used for evaluating the produced model?
