Hi, first of all thanks for the effort. Would your findings open a posibility to extract the ECU adresses on wich each ecu broadcast its information? This ids change from year to year and car to car. Finding a way to know this addresses based on the VIN (model + year) would be awesome.

Hi Jesus, First time I can email Jesus(!).In the manual I used a stored procedure to retrieve all the ecu-addresses. But guess this is not what you want...I think : 0x00024567 XX XX XX XX XX XX XX (messageID + data), and you want to know who send it? For instance 0x000245467, could be the temperature sensor. I had a look at the canbusdata, people get while sniffing the CANBUS, and I had some hope of finding any reference in the VIDA database, but I did not find anything...Think the answer is to be found in the firmware of the ECM.... Kind Regards,Jan
