User story: Create Request Notification #154

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Please find attached the apk file of our project

My task was to create a request and send it and the other user should receive a
notification with the request.

To be able to review my user story
1. you need to register
2. From the Incoming tab, click menu then add
3. The view of Create Request Notification will appear to you

Note: In order to test the view you need to send the request to a registered
user, such as Mohamed Gad. but then the request will be sent to him. Therefore,
I suggest you find another person who will also test our project and you both
could register and then you could send to her/him or something.

Please check and let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Best regards :)

I was using 3.2 and the layout was created based on a 3.2 device. However, we
started testing the functionalities on 2.3 since it loads quicker.

Ok now it is running, however I am not able to register. It keeps on loading
and then says registration failed. I am using the emulator for testing your app.

I will attach the .apk file again, so you can download it and try it again and
please make sure you are connected to the internet!

Ok here are my comments:
--------------------------------------------------------------

1- In the Request Notification view, shouldn't the "To" be "From" ? from my
understanding to your app I will receive notifications FROM this person right ?
I know this is something I should have mentioned while reviewing your prototype.

2- When I press on the button with the contact icon, and I read the
instructions, I then try to press the menu button but no menu appears in this
view, so I go back to the Request Notification view no menu appears as well, so
I went back to the main view, but no "Accounts" button appeared for me in the
menu, only "Add", "Refresh" and "Permissions". So is that a bug?

3- When pressing on the map button, the map view opens but the map does not
appear, I know it takes some time to load, but I left it for more than 10 min
and still nothing appeared. So is this a bug too?

4- Regarding the incorrect input validation, I suggest you could be more
precise. For example, if the user did not enter a field, a message displayed
could be "Please enter contact number" and not "input should start with 002",
this applies to all fields.

5- I checked the view of "Create Notification", and I would prefer if both
views have the same UI (exactly the same) just different Title. I think this
makes the app more professional and the user accommodates to it quickly.

6- Finally, your view works perfectly, it adds the notification in the home
view correctly.

Good Job !!
--------------------------------------------------------------
* I did not mention any comments regarding the sending/receiving notifications
in the app after your view (Request Notification) is closed, I assumed it is
not your task, right?

1. concerning your first comment ... well what I was thinking of ... to as who
will I send my request to ... but your idea is interesting to covert it to from
... I will think about it and discuss it with my team ... but thank you for the
idea!

2. concerning your second comment ... I don't understand, why were you trying
to press menu when you clicked add a contact? what were you looking for? by
"accounts" you mean what?

3. the map does not appear for now ... it's not my task (sorry for not
mentioning that earlier) ...

4. I will take that into consideration and correct it in the next sprint isa

5. The aim was to create the same layout but we weren't able to do that
perfectly before the deadline ... but it's our goal isa

6. I'm not sure what you mean ... but I hope you mean the notification that
appears to the other user to notify him/her with the request!!!
In other words, I'm responsible that the other user(the one will receiver the
request) gets a notification with the request in the list of notifications.

Thank you so much for taking time to re-view my user story and thank you for
your thoughtful comments
