"Access Violation" when Peazip is launched in a deleted directory #247

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Browse to a directory
2. Close Peazip
3. Delete directory with an other application (nautilus, thunar...)
4. reLaunch Peazip (without options)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Normal launch.
"Access Violation" error crashing

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Peazip 5.0. Linux mint 11

Please provide any additional information below.
It tries to launch in the last directory but it doesn't exist. It should
redirect to HOME directory.
Need to give command line options to avoid Peazip to always crash.
Kindest regards

You can reset the application with:
peazip.exe -peazipreset

What is strange is that PeaZip should fall back to home directory if starting
directory is not found.
I'm not able to replicate the issue on my Linux test machines as the
application behaves as intended and automatically starts in user's home when
last browsed directory is made not available.

Various improvements were made in release 5.1.0 for handling cases in which an
access violation may (but should not) occur, does the issue still happens with
latest version?
