We had problem logging data to an sd card since 3v3 output from our microcontroller was not sufficient to power our sd card module.
This problem is brought about by the AMS1117 voltage regulator on the module as it requires a minimum of 4v to operate. Removing the voltage regulator or bypassing it by soldering it's input and output would allow us to power the module using a 3.3V
Interfacing a 5v sd card module with a 3V3 logic microcontroller.
