Siphon with background -- unable to pick up call #216

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Run siphon, put it in backgrounder.
2. Someone rings you and you tap siphon to pick up the call
3. Siphon's Answer button pops up, but it can't be clicked.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I should be able to pick up the call.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Siphon 2.0.8.

Please provide any additional information below.

I use 2.0.8 with Backgrounder (svn.r249) and have not experienced this problem.
3GS
and OS 3.0. This is an old issue, maybe newer OS or Backgrounder resolve this
user's
issue, but I'd imagine more info would be needed otherwise.

3GS 3.0.1 Siphon 2.0.8 no matter what I can't pickup a call. Can send it, can't
receive one. Also Backgrounder
seems to reset to off everytime Siphon is used.

Ok in today's testing I got it to work thanks to a friend in Denmark's patience
with me (Canadian). The strange
part is I don't think it's due to changes I made. We did notice that at
somewhat regular intervals we lost audio
from one side of the call or the other and it returned, but the call didn't
fail. Tried it several times calling both
ways.

Backgrounder was then reinstalled and tested and seemed to work while the
Siphon app was closed and the
iPhone was awake. Trying it from sleep later to see if things still function.
Driving around to find wi-fi's to test
against to see if it's a provider or network issue contributing to the problems.

Sorry I'm not more help.

Issue 287 has been merged into this issue.

Don't see why Issue 287 has been merged into this one. This one is related to
the
answer button not working properly and Issue 287 is about the Siphon not coming
to
the foreground on the incoming call. I see them related, but not the same
problem.

Same issue as 106 not as 287.
I attached a log file to issue 106

I will add multitask support from iOS4, I hope it will resolve this issue.
