Hi, thanks for the feedback! This is actually already implemented. See Namecoin Resolution with Tor.
As a side note, we generally prefer that issues suggesting new subprojects for Namecoin be filed in the Meta repo.
As a less substantive second side note, the term "deep web" isn't really correct for describing Tor and Namecoin hosted services; "dark web" is more accurate.
Closing this issue since it's not related to Namecoin Core, but please feel free to open a new issue in the Meta or DNS-Prop279 repo if you have further thoughts on the subject. Thanks again for the feedback! :)
Sorry, but i don't see any way to write a comment in the meta repo. I can create a new file, but i don't think it's what you mean.
The procedure you linked is for manually integrating Namecoin with TOR by myself. I think it would be better to make an installer wizard for automating all those steps, in order to spread Namecoin to the mass of users which are not very technical.
And it would be way better it the TOR project team integrate everything into the TOR installer. But i think i should ask the TOR team for that.
Thanks anyway

@sleepndevelop File an issue in the meta repo, just like you did in this repo. The feedback you provided here is useful, but it's not going to do any good here in the Namecoin Core repo. Thanks!
Moved to meta repo (now that GitHub allows that) and re-opening.
This is not an issue report, just a question about a possible development i think may help Namecoin gain popularity.
Since the people interested in Namecoin are the free speech supporters and other deepweb users, they are most likely TOR users as well. So why not integrate the Namecoin name resolver into the TOR browser?
That would be way better than the third-party browser plugins we have now, which people don't trust too much. TOR browser is widely used and trusted, so being integrated in it would boost Namecoin popularity.
Also, in this way it would be easy to give a human-friendly name to a onion service. A onion site owner may register a Namecoin domain for it, and configure his Apache server to do a "hidden" redirect from the Namecoin name to the .onion domain ( i.e. do a redirect without displaying the actual target onion domain in the address bar, but keeping the Namecoin domain shown) : https://stackoverflow.com/questions/16009901/redirect-to-other-domain-but-keep-typed-domain.
What do you think?
