I had Namecoin in a wallet on Tradebytrade who delisted Namecoin without notifying me by email. It appears i have now lost the Namecoin completely as a result. I have the wallet address, might there be anyway of recovering it?
You're expecting to be able to steal NMC that are held by a 3rd party's keys, just by knowing the address that holds them...? That's not how cryptocurrencies work. Also this has nothing to do with the Namecoin.org website, and is therefore off-topic for this repo.
Thank you for your reply Jeremy.
'Steal' - I requested help in recovering my own coin, i made no reference to stealing.
'That's not how cryptocurrencies work' - a forum is generally for more experienced users to explain material to less experienced users - that's why i posted in a forum and the above statement isn't much help
I posted for help in a Namecoin forum, my sincere apologies for perhaps posting in the wrong subforum - a suggestion for the correct subforum would be helpful...

You implied that the private keys are held by Trade By Trade, not by you. As far as the consensus rules are concerned, that means they're not your coins, they're Trade By Trade's coins.

GitHub's issue tracker isn't a forum, it's for reporting bugs or requesting features (in this case, for the Namecoin.org website). In any event I'm not sure why exactly you're trying to trade NMC if you're not familiar with the most basic feature of cryptocurrencies like Namecoin and Bitcoin (i.e. that they're decentralized).

Support requests for Namecoin users would be best placed at https://forum.namecoin.org/ or https://www.reddit.com/r/Namecoin . That said, it is highly unlikely that anyone at either of those venues will be able to help you steal coins that you don't own. It's possible that they may be able to help you reach someone at Trade By Trade who can send you the coins in question, although given the poor reputation of Trade By Trade I'd guess that it's unlikely.
Thanks very much Jeremy, that detailed reply is much appreciated!
I have of course been in contact with Trade By Trade - and their now poor reputation is definitely warranted. I would strongly discourage other users from using this exchange....
I will purchase Namecoin on other exchanges and wish you the best in continued development of it. Cheers
