What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. select the cross and apply to pdf

Need to be able to toggle to get a 'tick' or a 'cross' currently the
toolbox shows a 'tick' but places a 'cross'

Using ver 0.0.3 on MacOS 10.5

Have tried various combinations of shift / alt etc

Yes, right now only an "X" can be displayed. I'll put in a check "V" shape to 
the next release.

As a work around you could make a text entry and copy/paste "✓" into it
