Disappearing text in textbox #66

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. typing over existing text
2. happens at random sometimes
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The text stays there. Sometimes when I'm typing and completing a worksheet
for class, some of my answers would disappear or be "invisible". I would
have to click and move it so I can see it. But I miss it sometimes after I
click of the text box.

Please use labels and text to provide additional information.

I had the same problem. I create a text box, then go back to make a change of
any
kind & the text box gets smaller with each click of the keyboard. I've tried
clicking
the arrow tool, then back to the text box, no difference, the textbox keeps
getting
smaller until it disappears. I use the arrow tool to resize the textbox and
it's ok,
the changes I typed in are there, but sometimes not correct because of not
being able
to see the entire box. Very strange problem. Hope you can fix it....helpful
program.
It took me 3 times as long to fill out a pdf application because of this
problem. And
drove me slightly crazy!!

I've had this same problem. Text disappears after typing it in. I've been
filling
out medical claim forms, which have many little boxes to type in information.
Formulate Pro seems to recognize the lines that make up the edges of the boxes,
because if any of my text is touching a line / the edge of a box, the text will
disappear onscreen, and will also not print. If I move the text box so that no
text
touches a line, the text will remain, even if it's covering up text from the
original
form.

It is very frustrating. What I've started doing is zooming in close to the
document
so that I can set the text box with more accuracy, and avoid touching any
lines.
That seems to work most of the time. But it would be nice to have this fixed

I'm running Leopard 10.5

Scratch that last comment by me. Now the text is disappearing randomly,
whether or
not the text is touching anything else at all. Moving the text box elsewhere
works,
if you can find the magic spot.

Again, very frustrating and adds loads of time to otherwise easy task

Sorry for the delay. The issue has been fixed and will go out in the next
release (0.0.5) in the next few weeks.

yanndug,

is there any way you can elaborate on what you were doing when this happened?
can you reproduce and note
down exactly what happened? zooming, creating a text-rectangle by dragging vs
clicking, moving it, etc? If I can
reproduce this, I can fix this.

Thanks,
-andrew
