Need for better error reporting in Managix #816

At times, Managix does not give a precise description of an error incurred 
during installation/starting of an asterix instance.  Currently, errors like 
"insufficient permissions" in creating directories/files are reported, but it 
does not cover errors related to transfer of artifacts (asterixdb binaries) 
that happens prior to creating an instance. 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
A precise error message to be displayed that helps user rectify the error in 
the environment or help us fix the issue.

Another example of a situation where error reporting is not as expected is the 
case when the data directories of an AsterixDB instance are empty (wiped off by 
the OS for being under /tmp) resulting in a failure when starting an instance.
