have no experience in this honestly, might take a while to consider, especially that it ain't only about being recognized
Just wanted to comment because this too interests me a bit. Anywho
There used to be an app, can be found on xda, Any Auto Audio, allowed for unsupported players by enabling Android Auto dev mode. Was hackish but worked. Download is on page 4 in comments link.
With A14 (and I have only tested with a14, and only tried Namida) I am able to "pin" Namida in aaaudio, when in car however I hit a snag.
Android Auto will show the "getting selection" screen, it will even auto start the play queue and let you pause/back/forward, , shows album art etc. but it doesn't let me go to library. At least I can control Namida but it'd be so sweet to get it to see the library...
Any ideas amazing Namida dev?? I know maybe long shot.... But dreams..
@l300lvl schlawging hell aauto support without effort? damn
so its controllable (maybe through intents etc) but not openable right? like what happens when u open it vs what should happen
i guess it will still require support from namida side in that case
I think I will have to take a couple pics of how it's supposed to look vs what happens now plus maybe test on my a12 device. I will do this soon.
Right now it just doesn't show any "library mode" of any kind. Like I think there's a button to go to library normally but that's not there either.
android auto doesn't currently recognize this as a music player.
