Installation #1

PostGIS - can't install due to error "needs to be installed in PostgreSQL file", but even after setting the file to the programme directory, does not work

I don't know if this is helpful, but I installed postGIS through StackBuilder using these instructions (you need to have already installed postgreSQL though): http://www.bostongis.com/PrinterFriendly.aspx?content_name=postgis_tut01

@n-y-m If you have already installed PostgreSQL, then go to DBeaver and use this program to create a new postgres database, choose that database, then go to Extensions --> Right click and --> Create new Extension --> can you check if the PostGis extension is already there. postgis
