Desktop icons return black #609

With materia theme desktop icon turn black if double clicked like home or trash. So they turn black if loose focus. Same goes for other desktop items. If i click again on home desktop item the icon comes back. On the desktop double click home icon, home icon on the desktop turns black.

In the file manager the home icon also turns black. Open file manager, click on filesystem, home is black (although not always, close file manager and try again)

This is on Manjaro Mate latest edition fully up to date. Gtk version 3.24.31

A workaround for this issue is to set the background-color directly. Seems GitHub doesn't allow attaching patch files, so here:
