Dual mining lowers ETH speed #193

According to the BCT post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1433925.0

"- Supports new "dual mining" mode: mining both Ethereum and Decred/Siacoin/Lbry/Pascal at the same time, with no impact on Ethereum mining speed. Ethereum-only mining mode is supported as well."

However I am seeing a loss of 10 or so Mh/s per card when using dual mining. This is appox 25% loss. Tried with PASC and SIA and get the same result.

Running Vega56's using the blockchain driver on Windows 10 LTSB. Experiencing this across 3 miners all with a similar setup.

Is this actually expected?

What is the intensity you use? It has a HUGE impact on hashrate. Change with -/+ on the keyboard to find a good balance then hardcode it in the command LE: I have "-dcri 63" on eth+sia (gives a very small decrease in eth hashrate but doubles the sia one; running on Win10, 1080Ti's)

Running default, which looks to be 30. If I push that value up, it kills ETH hash rates, and if I lower it it kills the PASC hashrate... Going to have to find a balance I guess. But its not quite "no impact on Eth" tho.

There's no impact on my 1080Ti on default 30

Yea, seems no impact on nVidia cards, but Radeons it does impact it. I had a Vega and 1070 running in the same machine and the Vega was impacted but the nVidia was not.
