Nanominer 3.3.10-cuda11 high ETH hash rate problem on 3060 Ti (+100MH/s) and too many rejected shares #282

Hello,

I am mining ETH on Nanominer 3.3.10-cuda11 on Windows. Rig with 8 GPUs, 1x Nvidia 3060, 3x AMD RX5700 XT, 4x Nvidia 3060 Ti. Power source Corsair HX1200 + HX850 parallel, MB Asus Z490 Prime, RAM Patriot DDR4 2660 Mhz 8GB, Gigabyte SSD 120GB.

Rig was mining very well for 5 months on ETH (Nanominer) algo (restart once a week) from 03/2021 till last Saturday 11.09.2021. That Saturday Rig freezed and from that time Iam not able to mine properly on Nvidia 3060Ti GPUs. AMD cards are mining OK. I have no log from that time, as I reinstalled Win completely.

Nvidia 3060 Ti GPUs are reporting hashrate from 53 to 120MH/s per card and randomly cycling. As a result, avarage reported hashrate is more than 60Mhs, but GPUs has from 10 to 100% of rejected shares, with slight overclock (PL 63, Core-502, Mem +800, fan 80%, GPU temp cca 50°C ) and also without overclock. AMD GPUs are OK, no problem and the same on N3060 without Ti. All GPUs are OC with MSI afterburner v 4.6.3.

What did not worked:

I have more Rigs, so I took the 3060Tis which have high rejected share rate to other Rig and Gpus are working OK in other Rigs, so they are not damaged. Additionally, I took other 3060Ti with another Rig to this problematic Rig and it creates the same problem.

I can send nanominer log, where this is visible, it is very strange and I am not able to remove the problem, as I replaced nearly everything and it did not help.

Any idea guys? Thank you very much. Martin

With RTX 3090, rejected shares are about 30%. Going back to 3.3.5 rejected is nearly null.

Oh yes, changed back to 3.3.8 and problem is gone. Version 3.3.10 is buggy on 30xx for sure. Thx. Martin

What did not worked:

* complete PSU change, cable change, Riser change

* SSD surface deep test OK

Hello Martin, I am interested in talking to you about this rig you have. I am also considering buying this particular graphics card and I have seen ways of getting away with the drivers restriction related to halving the hashrate. How have you bypassed it? Thanks for your time in advance, Roman

Hello,

We did a rollback to 3.3.8 and it’s ok now.

Hello, yes limits are bypassed w/ GPUs without LHR, it is as simple. And I am not selling here, I have just discussed the nanominer error in v 3.3.10, which is solved in 3.3.11 hopefully.
