Rig of 3070 ti and amd ryzen 3600 hangs if no lhr set for eth mining #348

Hi,

I saw the new version and was so excited to try it ... that I did so.

I've installed deb 11 with Bookworm kernel 5.17.0.1 amd64 and Nvidia Tesla 510 Xorg server.

On that rig I mine ETH on the GPU and XMR on the CPU.

Without any lhr limit it hangs when hashing begins (~90s after launch).

My PSU is rather quite old and is "à mon avis" (to my thinking) responsible for the hang... though it is a 850W TruePower Quattro Bronze from Antec (2009).

With a lhr=75 everything goes smooth with a 68.961Mh/s instead of a 48Mh/s with subversion 2.

Perhaps could it be possible to take into account the RandomX power usage.

Also it could be intersting (from my POV) if one had a power limit treshold that one could set as a parameters in Watts to permits to the mining program to brake before the crash ;)

Anyways, great job, many thanks !

PS: GPU= Nvidia Corporation GA104 [GeForce RTX 3070 Ti] [10de:2482] (rev a1) (Asus TUF .... don't remberber what) PS2: added 'deb http://deb.debian.org/debian bookworm main contrib non-free' and the same for deb-src' in GUI synaptic and the full upgrade PS3: any chances to get a Zec GPU implementation ?

it was the PSU... if not 'hot' enough then problem else not
