It's great that dorado can perform poly(A) calling from RNAseq libraries, but for some users it may be difficult to extract infomation on called poly(A) from pt:i tag in the basecalled bam. Would it be possible (I suppose it is not complicated) to allow additional output when calling dorado summary, I mean in case of poly(A) length calls to output them in the summary?
In this way all the basic information required for polyadenylation analysis would be present in a single file which can be easily imported into R or used in any other tool for poly(A) analysis. For modifications there is modkit, but for poly(A) there is no dedicated tool for extracting poly(A) length information available (AFAIK).
