Currently, the JC Virus #163 and BK Virus #165 estimate is taking an estimate from this study. The patients from which sera are taken do not represent the population as a whole, most obviously in their age breakdown, as seen in this table.
In the future, I should switch the current US Prevalence in jcv.py to a WeightedAverageByPopulation Prevalence estimate.
Looking at the table below, the age breakdown looks fine, apart from a large proportion of 12-18yo. Deprioritized, I don't think further work here will add a lot of precision.
