WeeWX integration

Enhancement.

I have my own Personal Weather Station, and all the data is managed by a freeware software called WeeWX. That software sends the data to different web services (W.Underground, PWS weather and, since yesterday that I started using this plugin, to Openweathermap

Right now, I use this plugin to gather the data from my PWS through OpenWeatherMap, bu I think it would be easier to collect the data directly from WeeWX, as, in my LAN, I have access to a .json file with all the data I'm interested in.

Could this be achieved? May I have any clue on how to get there?

Is the file shared via a (local) webserver? AFAIK you cannot access local files via js.

I was just looking for this. Looks like someone had started this at some point, perhaps it can be integrated with homebridge-weather-plus? https://github.com/MrBeaker/homebridge-weewx

I know this is an old post, but there might be a way to do it. There is a weewx plugin that creates a json output on the archive interval (default of every 5 mins it's republished) that's on the weewx server. This JSON file can be formatted as needed to be ready by homebridge weather plus. The only thing that would need to be added on this plugin is to allow a custom url to to JSON file to input the data (which is beyond my current skillset)

I believe WeeWx is supported now. Can this issue be closed?
