The dev instructions show installing an editable install. A user may just be interested in installing the latest version via github for features but not wanting to clone and make an editable install?
Yeah, I think there is room for a main
install -- especially now when main is so far away from 0.4.19 in a lot of ways (async comes to mind in particular). I keep forgetting to add conda nightly to that tab:

Makes sense - I dropped the commit that deleted the install from source instructions.

Description
The
libmamba
solver is now the default one (https://conda.org/blog/2023-11-06-conda-23-10-0-release/), so instructing users to update conda is enough to get a fast solver (no need to manually install the solver or install mamba)
