Thanks for this contribution!
I have three questions:
1. Where did the icons come from?
2. Also, what is passed2.png? It's not referenced anywhere.
3. Are there larger icons? Yes you dropped it from 22px to 16px.

Sure --
1. from a designer friend that granted free use for them in open source projects
2. just an alternate form of "passed" -- i couldn't decide which one i liked
3. i can create them, but the 22x22 is actually too big for the bottom bar (at
least on OS X) and looks kind of goofy. by dropping to 16x16 it fits a little
better.

Thanks for your quick reply.
I also don't like the existing icons by the way (and I made them.) But we
needed something...
I spoke with some folks and it was made clear to me that for those icons can be
accepted I need a contributor agreement.

And even then I'd need to know the actual source, and here's why. Pretend, that
someone made a claim that this project contained their work without their
permission. My best argument would be "Someone said their friend said they were
free for use." Now consider instead that my argument was "Joe said he made them
and gave us permission."
So if your friend made them, I'd think in the end, I'd need your friend to sign
the CLA.
But that's kind of a lot, isn't it? I think perhaps the easiest thing would be
to find out if there are some icons that Google has which I can use. Ones that
don't look as amateurish as the ones I made.
Anyway, that's a lot to chew on. Let me know your thoughts, and thanks again
for your contribution!
