same here. I am hearing the other party very well during the conversation.
However,
the other party seems to have problems in hearing me. At the beginning the
sound is
fine. However, after 10-20 seconds, the mic seems not to work anymore (the other
party cannot hear me anymore).

Nexus 1. Android. CSipVersion : 0.00-11

Ok i'll check that.
That's probably caused by the new driver I implemented, but seems to be easy to
fix.

Targeted for the next release.

Can you test with the attached build (you'll need to uninstall the market
version
before).
There is no option to set the boost of the mic, but I changed the way I set
audio mode.
(the audio reference is not really clear on android and I think that I used a
function on the wrong way).
I tested this version on my nexus one, and sound seems louder with it. Let me
know if
you get the same on your Desire.

By the way, even if it works, the idea of a boost option is still good and i'll
try
to implement it, but first I want to use properly the device audio :) .

Wow very fast response. Good job man now the other person can hear me (3 times
louder
than before) but he still has to press his phone very thight agianst his ear to
understand me clearly. So for now it is acceptable. In the future i would love
have a
boost option. Btw ur integration with system is almost perfect. And remember I
am
still avaiable for further testing if u need something. The only downside may
be my
partways crappy english (I am from germany).

Great news.
So i'll push this change in the next release.
The boost option will come later, (not so easy to implement since it has to be
done
in the native library). I've other features planned for the next release
(calllogs, etc).

Many thanks for your tests.
I let the bug open until I implement the boost option. I'll keep you informed
on my
progress on this point.

@mflorea : I don't really know if it will fix the bug you had, seems to be
different.
I'm investigating stability issues during the call.

P.S. : @saraj : don't worry for your english, I think that I have a worse
english
than yours ;) (I'm french).

The sound (from the microphone) clearly improved. Which is great.

I have still some problems with my connexion. For example, even if the sound is
better now, I have made a call and the other party is hearing me for several
seconds
(let's say 10 seconds), and after that there is no sound at all (at the other
end). I
can still hear everything. It's only happens when I am initiating the call.
Sometimes, the other party is not hearing me at all (not even the 10 seconds).
I will
still investigate on my side.

However, the improvement of the microphone is great. Is it possible to improve
also
the level of the ringtone ?

I have this issue on HTC Desire with the Market version as of 2010-07-02
(version 11?). The other person hears me but it's so quiet it nearly unusable.
On Sipdroid, I had to set "microphone sensitivity" to "highest" in the menu.

Tried CSipSimple_pre3.apk from the "downloads" section, and according to the
person with whom I tried to talk, mic volume is better.

Now added on 0.00-12 on the market.
I'll add an enhancement issue to allow booster for mic/speaker.
