Anti-aliasing doesn't work in The Sims 1 #160

Hello, anti-aliasing doesn't work in The Sims 1, despite the fact that I turn it on in the game and then re-enter. The text file also shows that anti-aliasing is turned on, but it doesn't work, the characters are not anti-aliased as in DgVoodoo2.

I don't have the "Software Device" setting when I bring up the menu with Shift+F11.

It's not available from the overlay. You have to set it from a config file. Read the wiki: https://github.com/narzoul/DDrawCompat/wiki/Configuration

You can download and extract this config file to get started: DDrawCompat.zip

Eh, sad, but the sims are gone, and with the "ResolutionScale=display(4)" setting, the game starts to slow down. But thanks!

I resolved my stuttering/lag and the anti-aliasing by setting DisplayResolution = app. I think this would resolve @PieStars issue. https://github.com/FaithBeam/Sims-1-Complete-Collection-Widescreen-Patcher/issues/64#issuecomment-1449349522
