Excellent idea! We are creating a sort of 'success story' database through the NASA Center for HelioAnalytics (a community to facilitate the use of machine learning, knowledge capture, and data analytics to expand the discovery potential for key research topics and missions in Heliophysics). That database is taking the form of short (3-5 minute) videos on projects that have emerged from the CfHA (https://helioanalytics.io/project-activities). We are still working on making them discoverable, but perhaps providing them to the TOPS success stories database would be the right way to do that while also linking to TOPS
This sounds great! @chall-nasa knows how to get content up on YouTube 'correctly' - and we can then link to it from the TOPS repo.
Very exciting!
Note that YouTube is great for outreach and engagement, but is definitely not a place for archiving videos. For all published videos, they should additionally be saved in a long-term archive, such as the Internet Archive, Wikimedia Commons, or even on Zenodo.
Gather transformational stories from diverse groups doing open science to share on the site. Much like the Open Science Success Stories Database at https://projectopen.io/ we want to collate various NASA-related stories showing the collaborative and diverse nature of open science and how it is positively impacting communities and advancing scientific knowledge.
