Resolve issues/warnings found from using cppcheck version 2.1 #7

The cppcheck static code analysis application has been updated to version 2.1. Run the new version of cppcheck against the TrickHLA code to see if any new issues are found.

Pushed changes to resolve null pointer check issues found by cppcheck v2.1.
