Generate thumbnails for MOD09GQ #25

Thumbnail needs to be generated from the MOD09GQ datafile (there is no separate thumbnail hdf)

MOD09GQ is the daily surface reflectance for bands 1 and 2. Are thumbnails currently being generated for them and if so, how? A few options:

Since it's 2 bands used for NDVI I think the best method may be to calculate the NDVI and create a thumbnail from the NDVI with a standard color table.
Generate two grayscale thumbnails.
Make a False color image using one of the bands twice.

No, thumbnails are not being generated for the MOD09GQ right now. We have a process that links a MOD09GQ granule to the browse of a corresponding MOD09GA granule. Your first option sounds good. I can run this by our Science Data Specialist to get their thoughts.

@scisco Example payloads for the MYD13A1 product (which is like the others), and MOD09GQ are in the test dir of docker-modis
