Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Would be good to put some words/pictures into the Doxygen documentation (or .md?) describing the way object ID's are managed in OSAL.

Note doxygen can include markdown files that can also be linked from wiki's/etc on GitHub so it's a good way to go for general documentation (as long as both flavors play nice). It would be great to improve the current users guide to consolidate/include the scattered readme's and howto's, with a similar wiki front end.
