Mythbox with Myth 0.24 LiveTV works (partially) #182

I've discovered that LiveTV works when connected to a basically configured 0.24
backend.
If I only configure the tuner and channels -without xmltv- LiveTV works!

I suppose the video streaming protocol is the same as 0.23, but the problems
arise when using data (mostly EPG).

LiveTV works fine with EIT (OTA EPG), but it may be due to the fact that I
receive only one channel which supports it (low amount of data).

My OS is Mythbuntu 11.04, mythbackend 0.24, XBMC Dharma and mythbox 1.0.4. I'm
using the same PC as backend and frontend.

awesome to hear. I use schedulesdirect for my EPG data, is that the same as
xmltv?

I don't think so: I use xmltv for grabbing data from local cable providers...
in Argentina. No SchedulesDirect here.
Anyway, my test did have limited success: even when not filling the EPG the
connection would be pretty unstable: sometimes worked, sometimes not.
I haven't tried anymore, but if someone considers it useful please let me know.
