Raspbian Jessie not connecting. #9

I could never find the ip address of the pi. When I hooked up a monitor to it, I noticed that the wifi adapter was not found. I used the latest raspbian, (streach) and the wifi turned on, but Alexa will not discover.

Any Ideas?

Same problem here. Could not get the Ip address of the pi with arp -a

try using "angry ip scanner" from here: https://www.poftut.com/how-to-download-install-and-use-angry-ip-scanner-tutorial/

and then look for a device that starts with B8:27:EB:XX:XX:XX , where XX is different for everyone
