Short Day Names #6

The short day name is currently returned as the first two characters of the full day name (Mo for Monday, etc). Can we enhance this to allow, optionally, the first three instead (Mon for Monday, etc)? Perhaps also the shortest possible abbreviations: S for Saturday, Su for Sunday.

We need a way of abbreviating "Festival" as a pseudo day name - we could use F but for the collision with F for Friday; suggest using omega, the last letter of the math alphabet to correspond with Festival being the last 'week' of the cycle.
