No labels with Natural Earth basemap #101

With the Natural Earth basemap, there are no labels for countries, sub-national, towns, etc, even when we're searching by country or sub-national. I assume that the other backgrounds have labels because those basemaps include labels, where Natural Earth does not. For the future, if we include Natural Earth, we'll need to think about how to include labels, since they're kinda critical for user orientation.

@newtpatrol are you referring to the "satellite" layer? Would a "satellite" street map baselayer be better? Basemaps are an easy swap. https://www.mapbox.com/gallery/

Oops, sorry, yes the "satellite" layer, I'm not sure why I thought it was called Natural Earth. For the purposes of having labels, I'd say that the "satellite streets" layer would be better (although really we could use the country, town etc names more than streets). It sounds like some of our audience prefers a natural satellite layer like that, so we should have one, and it appears that "satellite streets" is the closest (what a cool collection!), so I'd vote for swapping it out if it's easy.
